How progression works
- Take quests from NPCs on each island and defeat the target enemies for EXP and peli.
- Each level gives stat points. Put them into the stats your build uses.
- When the quests on an island get too easy, sail to the next island.
Spending stat points
- Choose one main damage stat (Fruit, Sword, Gun or Strength for fighting styles) and pour most points into it.
- Add some Defense so you don't get one-shot.
- Splitting points evenly across everything makes you weak at all of it. Use a stat reset (codes sometimes give them) if you change your mind.
Devil Fruits, swords and fighting styles
- Devil Fruits give powerful abilities, but you can't swim. Logia fruits (such as Mera, Pika and Goro) are popular for their power and mobility, and fruits like Buddha are well known for grinding.
- Swords are a strong, flexible option if you don't have a good fruit.
- Fighting styles can be learned from trainers. For example, Black Leg can later be evolved into Demon Step.
Survival tips
- PvP is common in the open world. Stay near safe areas when you're low level.
- Upgrade your boat so sea travel is safer.
- Learn the Haki your build needs as soon as you can, since it's a big power jump.
Beginner tips
- Always have a quest active while farming.
- Commit to one build early.
- Use codes for stat resets and boosts.
- Don't fight high-level players for no reason.
